The local shop, Plockton Stores is small but well-stocked and they have an excellent selection of wines and whiskies. There is a large co-op supermarket in Kyle five miles away for a wider range of provisions. There are shops in Kyle for fresh baked goods and a first rate butcher’s shop. The Butcher stocks Aberdeen Angus beef and the best Scottish haggis in Scotlasnd which comes from Dingwall, near Inverness. The local paper shop in Plockton stocks all the major tabloid, broadsheet newspapers and magazines and also a selection of gift items and cards. Plockton has its own artist’s gallery, the Studio, which has an extensive range of gifts, cards, art work and local jewellery.

The Plockton Post Office is near the Old Pier. Opening times vary in winter and in summer. Internet access is available for a small fee although Number 19 has broadband internet access for its guests. There is also internet access at library in the Village Hall.s
